The underground part

The underground part of the storage facility consists of four separate structures – the original natural gas and oil deposits, which are located at depths ranging from 700–2100 metres.

THE MAIN STORAGE STRUCTURE

The largest underground storage structure is divided by small faults into three separate but communicating fault blocks; it is situated at an average depth of about 1,600 metres.

LENTICLES

These lens-like bodies form the second largest storage structure, deposited at an average depth of about 1,800 metres.

THE ‘LÁB HORIZON’, SOUTH-EAST

The south eastern storage structure originally was a smaller oil/gas deposit, at a depth of about 2,000 metres.

THE 16th SARMATIAN

The 16th Sarmatian storage structure is an original gas deposit located at a depth of 700 metres.
